(QNO) - Phan Chau Trinh street in Hoi An city will become a new street for pedestrians and non-motorised vehicles as of May 15, 2023.
The implementing process includes two phases.
In the first phase from May 15 to December 31, 2023, the pedestrian street will work all days from 17:30 to 21:30 in summer and from 17:30 to 21:00 in winter.
The space of the pedestrian street is from the intersection of Nguyen Hue - Phan Chau Trinh streets to the Cao Hong Lanh - Phan Chau Trinh junction.
In the second phase which is planned to take place all days as of January 1, 2024, the pedestrian street will start at 15:00 and end at 21:30 in summer, be between 15:00 and 21:00 in winter.
The space of the pedestrian street is from the junction of Hoang Dieu - Phan Chau Trinh streets to the Cao Hong Lanh - Phan Chau Trinh junction.
A lot of cultural and performance-art activities are expected to be held in the space of the new pedestrian street, including Vietnamese opera, musical performances, tea ceremony, painting, decorating lion and unicorn head, folk games, basketball exchanges.
They promise to provide visitors with diverse and interesting experiences in Hoi An.
There will be free parking spots provided for the locals, visitors and tourists.
At the same time, the systems of public rest rooms, security and environmental sanitation will also be arranged and improved.
