(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the Hoi An Installation Art Festival 2022 took place in Tan Thanh fishing village (Cam An ward, Hoi An city, Quang Nam province) on December 22.

The festival aims to protect marine environment with the participation of hundreds of travel businesses and agencies nationwide.
It is one of the significant activities responding to the closing of the National Tourism Year- Quang Nam 2022, helping to link tourism business and local communities to visitors.
The main activities during the 3-day festival include installation art with 20 works, street art, Tan Thanh tourist fair, art installations of rags, exchange of plastic waste for gifts, and showing films about the environment.

Giving a speech at the opening ceremony of the festival, UNESCO Chief Representative to Vietnam Christian Manhart said the festival fosters human creativities through cultural expressions, sustainable tourism, and increased resilience to severe environmental challenges.
