(QNO) - Hoi An city of the Central coastal province Quang Nam ranks 2nd on the list of 25 best upstart tourist attractions in the world by Tripadvisor.
According to Tripadvisor, Hoi An ancient town, which used to be an important trading port in Southeast Asia from the 15th to 19th centuries, is well-preserved. It is more and more popular with foreigners.
On every 14th day of the lunar calendar, all the electric lights are replaced by traditional coloured lanterns, which makes Hoi An more attractive and unique.
Tripadvisor recommends some must-visit places in the city, such as Japanese Covered Bridge, Quan Cong (Zihuang) temple, famous tailor’s.
Another Vietnamese city named on the list is Ho Chi Minh city. It ranks 11th. It is described as the biggest and busiest city, the leading cultural and economic city of Vietnam. Visitors to Ho Chi Minh city are recommended to travel around the city by taxi.
Some well-known places in the city include the War Museum, the Jade pagoda, Ben Thanh market, paddy fields along the Mekong river.
