(QNO) - Hoi An ancient town in Quang Nam province has just been nominated for the leading cultural destination in Asia at World Travel Awards (WTA) 2022.
Some other places on the nominated list include Hue (Vietnam), Beijing (China), Kyoto (Japan), Seoul (South Korea), and New Delhi (India).
The voting for regional and continental awards started on May 30, 2022. Then, the winner will go into the global competition. In 2019 and 2021, Hoi An won the Asia’s leading cultural destination.
Besides, Vietnam has also been nominated for Asia’s leading destination, Asia’s leading sustainable tourism destination, Asia’s leading natural destination, and Asia’s leading cultural destination, Asia’s leading commodity, Asia’s leading beach destination, etc.
WTA launching in 1993 serves to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry with over 80 categories a year.
