Green tourism on Cham Islands

(QNO) - A pilot green tour has just been held around Cham Islands, Tan Hiep commune, Hoi A city (Quang Nam province).

The tour includes visiting tourist sites on Cham Islands such as the Media Centre for the Marine Protected Area, the ancient well, Hai Tang Pagoda, a coral nursery, facilities making hammocks of Firmiana simplex bark, making cakes from Ramie leaves, weaving fishing nets, picking forest leaves to make drinks, etc.

The tour introduced local green tourism products associated with cultural preservation and promotion of indigenous values towards sustainable tourism development.

Reportedly, Cham Islands welcomes nearly half of a million visitors, contributing to the development of Hoi An's marine tourism industry.
