Tourism cooperation between Central provinces

(QNO) - A conference on introducing and promoting Quang Binh tourism and signing a tourism cooperation and development programme between two provinces Quang Binh, Quang Nam and Da Nang city was held on 19 July 2014 in Da Nang city. Representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Da Nang city, Vietnam Tourism Association and many travel companies attended the conference.

An brief report of the Quang Binh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism showed that during the first 6 months of 2014, this province welcomed over 1.8 million tourists most of whom are domestic visitors, increasing 114% compared with the same time of last year. The total social turnover from tourism reached 1,089 billion VND, increased 149% compared with the same time of 2013.

The delegates discussed and analyzed the strong positions, potentiality and advantageous conditions of Quang Nam and Da Nang for upgrading the cooperation and creating the tourism trade mark “The Heritage Road in Central Vietnam” in the future.

In this conference, a tourism development and  cooperation programme with four main contents was signed: exchanging information about tourism development, tourism promotion reinforcement, tourism products development and calling investment into tourism.
