Three Central Vietnam’s localities jointly develop green tourism

(QNO) - Three Central Vietnam’s localities of Quang Nam – Da Nang  - Thua Thien Hue have just pledged to make joint efforts to promote green tourism in the coming time.

The information was announced at the workshop co-organised in Quang Nam on July 25 by the Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, and the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism.

Present at the workshop were representatives of tourism agencies, tourism industries and human resource centres of above localities.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province said the workshop aimed to promote linkages and cooperation in the development of green tourism product chains between Quang Nam, Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue; promote the strengths and potential of the localities’ tourism; diversify new tourism products in green and sustainable directions to create attractiveness of destinations.

In addition, the event facilitated the cooperation between tourism businesses  in the three localities to build tours associated with green tourist attractions to attract  more domestic and international visitors. It contributed to introducing the message "Green tourism - Connection and Development" of the localities.

At the workshop, the tourist industries of Quang Nam, Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue agreed to jointly build green tourism products, including State management of tourism; development of green tourism products; sharing techniques and experience in building models of green and sustainable tourism products and services; and guiding farmers in skills to participate in community and ecological tourism activities in the localities.
