(QNO) - The releasing ceremony of the Vietnam-Portugal joint stamps has just been organised in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province.

The 43x32mm-size stamp set includes two types designed by Vietnamese painter To Minh Trang and the artists from Portugal. The first one features the Viẹtnam’s Chu Dau pottery vase and the overview of Hoi An city. This object dated to the 15th century with the written evidence of artisan Bui Thi Hy is displayed in the Museum of Topkapi in Istanbul, Portugal. The other is the Portugal’s unique enamel plate and the panorama of Lisbon city. Especially, the item displayed in the Musem of Lisbon and dated to the 16th century by Portugal’s artisans has many Oriental features.
Both of them feature Vietnamese and Portuguese national flags.

The stamp set will also be released in 192 countries and territories under the Universal Portal Union.

Reportedly, the Vietnamese-Portuguese trading history was established 5 centuries ago. So, the first joint stamp issue is to better the friendship cooperation between two countries.
