The delegation from National Assembly of Laos works in Quang Nam province

(QNO) - Secretary of Quang Nam province’s Party Committee Nguyen Ngoc Quang played host to the delegation from National Assembly of Laos led by its Chairman of the Planning, Finance and Audit Committee Vilayvong Budakham on 28 June.

At the meeting, Secretary Quang informed his guests of fruitful results of the friendship cooperation between Quang Nam and southern provinces of Laos, especially Sekong. He suggested the members of the National Assembly of two countries continue to coordinate to finish the East West Economic Corridor, which connects trade between the southern localities of Laos and central localities of Vietnam, creating new incentive in regional socio-economic growth.

In reply, Chairman Vilayvong Budakham underlined the important meaning of this visit on the occasion of 40th Anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Lao Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977-July 18, 2017). He realized the active and effective support of Quang Nam province for the Lao southern localities’ socio-economic development, especially in the fields of education, healthcare, cadres training. Chairman Vilayvong Budakham believed the better friendship relation between Quang Nam and Lao localities, contributing to the special close traditional relation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

At the same day, the Lao delegation visited and planted anniversary trees at the Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mother, Ha Lao historical relic area in the province.
