(QNO) - The 57th meeting of ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information under the theme “Digital Transformation: Access for All" was opened on November 24 in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam.
Representatives of ministries, agencies in charge of culture - information of ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member states, the ASEAN Secretariat, the International Federation of Arts Councils and Cultural Agencies (IFACCA), Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Quang were present at the meeting.
The meeting focused on ASEAN member states’ cooperation in culture and arts, programmes and projects on art exchange and performances in order to submit to the ASEAN Information and Culture Committee for approval.
In addition, the meeting discussed the ways of cooperation in digital transformation, informational and cultural exchange and cooperative projects in ASEAN in 2023, including seminars, training programmes, introduction of publications in culture and information, conservation and promotion of cultural heritages, digitization, digital transformation in culture and information, press and media, prevention of fake news in ASEAN.
