(QNO) - BMW AG and its partner THACO announced the localization of German cars in Vietnam on December 5th, 2022.
Accordingly, the BMW 3-Series, 5-Series, X3, and X5 will become the first to be assembled at THACO’s factory in the Chu Lai Industrial Park of Quang Nam province.
Till now, THACO has been assembling and distributing Kia, Mazda, and Peugeot cars.
Reportedly, the 3-Series for test drive has appeared at THACO’s factory in Chu Lai and displayed in its showrooms. Sales staff also began to quote customers the prices of the 2021 and 2023 BMW versions.
Vietnam is the 6th market to assemble BMW cars, along with India, Thailand, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia. But THACO has distributed BMW cars since January 2018. Currently, there are 13 BMW showrooms in Vietnam.
