(QNO) - The roll-out ceremony of the new Mazda CX-5 model took place in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone on November 18. Present at the event were Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vo Xuan Ca and other leaders.

The model of Mazda CX-5 appeared in Vietnam in 2012 and has become popular with consumers since 2013. 2017 Mazda CX-5 is known as the model in response to tax reduction policies coming into force from 2018 with 8 colours and 3 versions (Mazda CX-5 2.0L 2WD, Mazda CX-5 2.5L 2WD, and Mazda CX-5 2.5L AWD). All of them are equipped with new LEDs; G-vectoring control technology; auto hold function; the systems of parking and touch sensors, dynamic stability control, traction control; rear seats air-con vents; smart key… Especially, the 2.5L models are kitted out with the new head-up display, Bose’s 10-speaker system, and i-activsense advanced safety technology.

Reportedly, the Vina-Mazda plant was built in 2011 under a cooperation agreement between THACO (Truong Hai Auto Corporation) and Mazda (Japan). Most of the Mazda models (Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda6, Mazda CX-5) have been manufactured and assembled here. They have been popular with Vietnamese consumers. At present, the Mazda distribution system includes 44 showrooms and agencies all over the country.
The event is also responding to the development strategy of the Vietnamese automobile industry by 2025, with a vision towards 2035 that was approved by Vietnamese Prime Minister in 2014 and waiting in front of the 4th industrial revolution.

THACO has so far built most of new automobile manufacturing and assembling plants of Kia, Mazda cars, buses, trucks, vans, and factories of auto parts for domestic needs and export to Southeast Asian countries. THACO Mazda is reported to be the Mazda's largest factory in Southeast Asia with the most modern automatic technology to meet the needs of the 7th Mazda generation. It is expected to come into operation on March 24th, 2018 (on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Quang Nam Liberation Day).

According to Mr. Duong, Mazda CX-5 is the crossover utility vehicle (CUV) under the brand Mazda which is the most popular with domestic and global customers. The new 2017 Mazda CX-5 is introduced to be fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly with an exquisite exterior design. Mr. Duong also committed to stabilizing the market and bringing practical values to consumers.
On this occasion, THACO gave VND 3.5 billion to the people in the central provinces suffering from hurricane and flood damages.
