(QNO) - In early 2025 Year of the Snake, THACO launched several state-of-the-art projects at the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone in Quang Nam to advance its goal of becoming a regional, multi-industry, globally integrated group.
Enhancing the value of Vietnamese-branded vehicles
To meet growing demand, THACO Auto is developing a new generation of buses and trucks, upgrading technology, and modernising production with automation and smart systems.
The latest buses, Cruizer (20-47 seats) and Mobihome (22-34 beds), feature modern designs, LED lighting, and advanced safety features. THACO trucks now range from 1.5 to 14 tons with optimised powertrains and localised components.
These advancements position THACO Auto as a regional manufacturing hub and strengthen the Vietnamese automotive brand.
Expanding the production of spare parts and components
THACO Industries is expanding its automotive parts and mechanical products from 2023 to 2027, investing in advanced manufacturing and high-tech rubber production in Chu Lai. The compay is also growing its domestic and international operations, developing competitive assembly plants for exports.
Key projects include a USD 30 million Automotive Body and Chassis Factory, a USD 25 million Premium Automotive Glass Factory, and a USD 20 million Automotive Electrical Equipment Factory.
THACO’s transformation and expansion
THACO is strengthening its role as a regional trade and logistics hub, inaugurating a 50,000-tonne berth at Chu Lai Port. Despite economic challenges, it continues expanding across six industries, aiming for regional multi-industry leadership by 2027 with full digital integration.
In 2025, THACO Auto targets over 100,000 vehicle sales, over 4,000 exports, establishing an advanced R&D centre, and developing new models.
THACO Industries optimises operations in the U.S. and South Korea, expands production, and builds new factories. THAGRICO invests in large-scale agriculture and developing industrial zones for farming materials and fruit processing in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
