(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the TechFest Quang Nam 2024 was officially organized on June 6 by the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee.
Present at the opening ceremony of the TechFest Quang Nam 2024 were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Hoang Minh, Deputy General of the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development, Hoang Xuan Dich, Chairman of the National Association of Entrepreneurship, Dinh Viet Hoa, Secretary of Quang Nam Party Committee, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Acting Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee, Ho Quang Buu, and others.
In his opening speech, Acting Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that TechFest Quang Nam 2024 is upgraded, fulfilling the goal of the province's start-up ecosystem by 2030 in accordance with the direction of the Central Government on entrepreneurship.
The festival aims to encourge the community to protect intellectual property and strengthen trade exchange in the digital era, and provides organisations and individuals with effective tools for innovation that create business advantage for sustainable development.
The five-day festival (from June 5 to 9), the fifth of its kind in Quang Nam so far, TechFest Quang Nam 2024 draws nearly 400 exhibition booths, thousands of ideas, start-up products, OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products, and typical rural industrial products from Quang Nam and other provinces, cities nationwide.
In addition, various large-scale and in-depth seminars and forums on the startup ecosystem are scheduled.
Mr. Buu said the TechFest Quang Nam 2024 is a good chance for the participants to expand connectivity, promote digital technology applications to introduce their innovative products, and spread the start-up spirit, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Hoang Minh, said, as one of the leading localities in implementing Project 844, with a tradition of innovation and the desire to build the homeland, Quang Nam is known nationwide for its dynamic "open creative startup" model with the famous inspirational slogan: "Quang Nam - an open land for creative start-ups".
The annual Techfest Quang Nam event has become a source of inspiration, attracting the attention of the business community, associations, unions, agencies, and start-up support organizations of provinces and cities nationwide.
