Tam Ky Padauk Blossom Festival 2022

(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the Tam Ky Padauk Blossom Festival 2022 took place in Huong Tra ecological village (Hoa Huong ward, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province) on the evening of April 8.

 

The festival is one of the activities to respond to the National Tourism Year 2022 themed Quang Nam- A Green Tourism Destination. It is also a chance to introduce the images of Tam Ky people and land to the public.

Padauk blossoms reach peak bloom in Tam Ky city in late March and early April. The yellow colour of padauk flowers covers all the streets of Tam Ky city, especially in Huong Tra ecological village, where there is a garden of ancient padauk trees reflecting themselves by the river.

Padauk blossom is considered an own characteristic of Tam Ky city.

The Padauk Blossom Festival becomes the identity of Tam Ky on the Vietnam tourist map, along with others such as Ha Giang buckwheat flower festival, Lai Chau apricot blossom season, Ban flower festival in Dien Bien, Red River rape flower season.

The Padauk Blossom Festival 2022, beside a response to the National Tourism Year 2022, is one of the most practical activities to reopen tourism in the new normal. It is an opportunity for Quang Nam to assert the importance of green tourism to sustainable development goals.

It is necessary to popularise the Tam Ky Padauk Blossom Festival associated with tourism development in Huong Tra ecological village, making the festival a tourism brand of Tam Ky city, contributing to tourist attraction to the city.

There are 21 activities in Tam Ky Padauk Blossom Festival 2022, including the kick-off ceremony of the festival, Ao dai performance, photo exhibition, Bai Choi performance art, agricultural product display, sports and cultural activities.
