(QNO) - Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Dung, chaired a reception for the delegation from Jilin province (China), led by Vice Governor Yang Andi, on November 19.

At the reception, Chairman Dung affirmed that Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries with good relations. In August, a delegation from Quang Nam province, led by Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu, had a working visit to Jilin province, laying the foundation for the relationship between the two provinces.
Chairman Dung spoke about Quang Nam’s socio-economic development, the province’s strengths in tourism, the automobile industry, agricultural processing, labor resources, airports, seaports, etc.
Therefore, Quang Nam hopes to promote cooperation with Jilin province, including exchanges of high-level delegations between the two provinces and investment cooperation in the fields of tourism, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and the mechanical industry.

In reply, Vice Governor of Jilin province, Yang Andi, thanked Quang Nam’s leader for the warm welcome. She also talked about Jilin province’s strengths in the automobile and train manufacturing industries, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural processing.
She said, in the first 9 months of 2024, imports from Vietnam to Jilin province increased by 145%.
Ms. Yang Andi hoped the Jilin delegation’s visit to Quang Nam will open a "new window" in cooperation on trade and investment between the two localities.
She wished Quang Nam province would create favorable conditions for businesses from Jilin province to learn about investment opportunities as well as invest in Quang Nam.
According to Chairman Dung, Quang Nam and Jilin have many similarities in terms of strengths and development orientations. So, the two provinces will develop a cooperative relationship in the coming time.
Accepting the invitation of Vice Governor Yang Andi, Chairman Dung said he would visit Jilin province at an appropriate time.
