Speeding up the implementation of responsible tourism development

(QNO) - Approximately 100 delegates from Da Nang city and two provinces Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam attended the Forum on Supporting Destination Management which has been recently held in Da Nang city. This event is a part of the project of “Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme” (EU project)

The EU project is the biggest tourism technique programme in Vietnam (funded by Europe Union) with the total capital of 11 million Euro and has been implemented since 2011. Its key aims are to support to make policies and raise regulations, create organizational structures and build the cooperation network between government and private sections as well as train high-qualified tourism labour force, improve the knowledge of tourism competition and responsible tourism.

 At the forum, many members of the EU project’s advisory council pointed out some positive and limited problems in managing destinations of three localities and suggested some necessary solutions to managing destinations such as: marketing and tourism products development, training tourism human power source, building reasonable developing strategy in line with the development of tourism…
