South Korean Navy ship visits Da Nang

(QNO) - The South Korean Navy’s destroyer, Kang Gam Chang, has docked at Tien Sa port and participated in various exchange activities and joint exercises with the 3rd Regional Command under the Vietnam People's Navy (VPN).

The Kang Gam Chang, with 296 officers and sailors under the command of Colonel Kwon Yong Gu, arrived at Tien Sa Port on May 4th, starting a courtesy visit to Da Nang from May 4th to May 6th.

During the visit, the ship's commanders paid courtesy calls to leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee and the 3rd Regional Naval Command. Besides, the officers and sailors had a chance to learn about the local culture. A joint exercise then took place between VPN and the South Korean Navy ships.

The Kang Gam Chang's visit to Da Nang aimed to strengthen the friendship, cooperation, exchange, and mutual understanding between the two countries, contributing to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea.
