South Korean delegations work in Quang Nam province

(QNO) - Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Tran Van Tan has recently received the delegations of the Korea Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) to Quang Nam.

At the reception, Vice Chairman Tan felt happy to welcome the South Korean delegations and affirmed the relationship between Vietnam and South Korea in the past 25 years.

In 2017, Vietnam became the South Korea’s fourth largest trading partner while South Korea was the Vietnam's second largest trading partner. Besides, Vietnam welcomed 2.4 visitors from South Korea. At present, about 170,000 Vietnamese live and work in South Korea, and about 150,000 South Koreans live in Vietnam. The relations of exchange and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea were set up over the past years.

South Korean investors account for the largest number in Quang Nam. In recent years, South Korea has always been among the countries with large numbers of tourists in Quang Nam. The event “South Korean Day in Quang Nam” was successfully organised last year.

Vice Chairman Tan highly appreciated South Korea’s supports to develop traditional silk products of Quang Nam and Ma Chau. He also hoped to receive more support continuously. At the same time, he asked the KIPA and KIPO to continue their plan on protecting and propagating provincial silk brand to South Korea and all over the world.
