(QNO) - Maybank Investment Bank (MSVN) has just offered a solar power system to a primary school in Hamlet 4 of Tra Don commune (Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province).
Maybank Investment Bank (MSVN) always fulfils its commitments to community welfare protection and sustainability in business. Its activities are aimed at helping the community develop sustainably for social equality and a better future.
Accordingly, on March 22, MSVN handed over a solar power system to Tra Don Day-Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minorities in Hamlet 4 (Tra Don Commune, Nam Tra My District, Quang Nam Province).
Tra Don Primary School for Ethnic Minorities has 11 branches, providing education for children in Tra Don commune, where Ca Dong people account for more than 98% of the population. The branch in Hamlet 4 is located on the Ngoc Linh mountain.
The branch in Hamlet 4 is well-known as a 3-NO area with no electricity, no clean water, and no phone signal. There are 46 children studying there in different grades, from kindergarten to grades one and two. This school branch is made of wooden planks with 3 classrooms and a room for 4 teachers.
So, MSVN offered a solar power system to the branch in Hamlet 4. At the same time, another solar power system was given to another branch of Tra Don Primary School for Ethnic Minorities.
Offering solar power systems to schools in mountainous areas is part of the “Trade and Give” programme on community support by MSVN. It is hoped that the solar power systems will partly contribute to the improvement of teachers’ and students’ lives, facilitating children’s study.
