Vietnam - India tourism and cultural cooperation

(QNO) - According to Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya, cultural cooperation between Vietnam and India not only diversifies the connections between two people but also promotes the tourism development of two countries.

Besides performance art, there will be different activities done by the Embassy of India in Vietnam, such as the Cultural Exchange Programme for the period 2022-2025 (signed in December 2022), My Son Sanctuary restoration and preservation projects in Quang Nam province, scholarships for Vietnamese students and postgraduates majoring in Indian culture, e.g, dance, theatre, language, food.

In 2023, Vietnam and India increasingly strengthen tourism cooperation; promote people-to-people exchanges, mostly between universities, research institutes and student exchange; expand cooperation between provinces and cities, promote cooperation in the field of cinema, conservation of cultural heritages between the two countries.  

Ambassador Sandeep Arya said he received the positive energy and warm sentiment from Vietnamese Government, partners and people. He found many similarities between the Vietnamese and Indians such as the aspiration to rise up, the respect for traditional values…

Reportedly, Vietnam and India are determined to realize the potential of bilateral relations. This will be promoted through the contributions of Vietnam and India to regional and global peace, security and prosperity.
