(QNO) - The Coastal Sports - Culture Festival 2023 themed Thang Binh- Aspiration to Reach the Sea took place on the evening of March 31 at Cua Khe Beach (Binh Duong commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province).
Present at the event was Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh, who beat the drum to open the festival.
Owning an over-25km coastline, Thang Binh has enormous potential for coastal and marine tourism development. The district has focused on preserving and promoting local traditional cultural values, tangible and intangible cultural heritages in recent years.
The festival is aimed at promoting the local cultural traditions, encouraging fishmen to head for the open sea.
At the same time, it is a healthy playground where fishermen from coastal areas set up close friendships, strengthen the solidarity, and exchange their experiences in work and life.
The events and activities in the festival include the camp festival with different sports and cultural activities, hot air balloon performance, fishing festival, Ba Trao singing, and OCOP product exhibition.
Thereby, the local marine and sea tourism is stimulated and promoted.
A performance art was held right at the opening ceremony, leaving a good impression in the hearts of local residents and visitors.
