The plan to preserve grey-shanked douc langur in Tam My Tay commune of Nui Thanh district (Quang Nam province) by 2030 with a vision to 2050 has been presented.

According to the Quang Nam Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the plan focuses on grey-shanked douc langur conservation and local economic development.
Firstly, a 60-hectare special-used forest in Hon Do, Duong Bong, Hon Ong and Duong Ban Lau will be restored to provide habitats for 68 grey-shanked douc langurs.
The area of the reserve will be enlarged to 150 hectares by 2030. According to Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu, the conservation of grey-shanked douc langurs should be based on the communities.
The minimum habitat for this species should be ensured. The plan may call for investment and ask for help from foreign organizations.
