Ho Quang Buu hoped JICA would continue to help Hoi An preserve some other cultural structures and build a smart urban area, prevent and control natural disasters, support for industrial development, green and sustainable tourism, and promote Japanese investors to Quang Nam.

According to Shinoda Takanobu, JICA wishes to exchange information regularly between the two parties in order to implement cooperation programmes effectively, contributing to the development of Quang Nam.

In terms of the Japanese Covered Bridge renovation project, Shinoda Takanobu said that it will be completed at the end of 2023.

It is an important and significant project, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan Diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023). He hoped Quang Nam province and Hoi An city would pay attention to the project so that it could be completed on schedule.
