(QNO) - The 7th Vietnam International Choir Competition 2023 will take place in the wonderful historic port city of Hoi An (Quang Nam province) from the 2nd to the 6th of April.

The competition is expected to be a musical event impressive and attractive to those who love music after a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 7th Vietnam International Choir Competition Hoi An 2023 consists of 13 different categories.
Currently, there are 20 choirs from 9 countries and territories (including Vietnam) signing up for the competition and it is now still open for more registrations. The jury will be international choir experts invited by Interkultur. Dang Chau Anh is the only Vietnamese judge.
All the facilities are now ready for the competition. Hopefully, all the preparation will create a good opportunity for artists’ performances, contributing to the success of the event.
The competition is also a chance to experience and exchange between Vietnamese and other choirs.
The opening ceremony of the 7th Vietnam International Choir Competition Hoi An 2023 will be held at the city theatre on April 2nd.
The Street Choir performance titled International Melody will take place on April 3-4 at 106 Bach Dang, 138 Tran Phu (Kazik Park) and Ba Mu pagoda gate. The closing ceremony is expected at Hoi An theatre (548 Hai Ba Trung).
During the time of the competition, there will be several other tourism activities to be held, including a performance art named Hoi An- colours of silk, a reappearance of Hoi An in the early 20th century, OCOP exhibition, and Hoi An pet display.
Besides musical exchange, the Vietnam International Choir Competition is aimed at enhancing cultural understanding among peoples, strengthening friendship, solidarity and cooperation between countries and territories.
The Vietnam International Choir Competition is held every two years, starting in 2011.
