Hoi An joins the UNESCO Creative Cities Network

(QNO) - Hoi An officially joined the UNESCO creative cities network on October 31, 2023.

On this occasion, the UNESCO global creative cities network has admitted 55 more cities, so the total number of urban areas in the network is 350. They are from more than 100 countries around the world.

Hoi An is recognised as a creative city in terms of traditional crafts and folk arts. Da Lat is another city in Vietnam joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in terms of music.

The cities joining the UNESCO global creative cities network must have a strong commitment to exploit cultural values and creativity as part of their development strategy.
