(QNO) - A forum to enhance the preservation and promotion of Quang Nam cultural values among the local youth took place in Tam Ky city on October 28 with the participation of 250 members of the provincial Youth Union.

The forum contributed to raising awareness among young people about the role of Vietnamese culture in the current context.

At the same time, it was an opportunity for Quang Nam youths to contribute to preserving and promoting Vietnam’s and Quang Nam’s cultural essence in the digital era.

At the forum, representatives talked about issues including the role of local youths in preserving and developing local culture and the appliance of technology in cultural preservation and promotion. 

Reportedly, Quang Nam owns 55 national-level relics and 282 provincial-level relics. The most popular sites are two UNESCO’s world cultural heritages: Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary.

Besides, Quang Nam has over 300 typical intangible cultural heritages, including 120 typical folk festivals and others.

Speaking at the forum, Vice Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Youth Union, Dang Thi Bao Trinh, said cultural preservation and development in the 4.0 era are the responsibility of all, including the young generation.
