Building green fences for elephant preservation

(QNO) - A 43-thousand-USD project on planting green fences with black locust trees at the Elephant Species and Habitat Reserve in Nong Son district (Quang Nam province) was financed by the United States Forest Service.

Earlier, the same projects were carried out in Que Lam commune (Nong Son district) in 2019 and 2021.

The projects are expected to help reduce human-elephant conflict, increase the local income by harvesting black locust fruit.
