(QNO) - The ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research (ACIR) forum was jointly held by Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) and the University of Danang on July 28, 2023.
Present at the event were scientists in information technology, communications, and digital economy from major universities and research institutes in the UK, Poland, South Korea, Ireland, and ASEAN.
The forum discussed the networking and developing of a community of scholars and researchers from Southeast Asian universities, promoting research and innovative activities.
According to Associate Professor Doctor Huynh Cong Phap, rector of VKU, the forum provided an opportunity for the cooperation in carrying out research projects between universities, research institutes in ASEAN.
At the event, a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the first 7 members of ACIR took place. They agreed to do joint activities, such as co-chairing scientific research activities, carrying out international cooperation projects, supporting to improve education capacity and quality via lecturer - student exchange, and other innovative and start-up activities.
