(QNO) - The model of climate smart agriculture (CSA) applied in the winter-spring rice crop 2018 - 2019 is bringing a new rice cultivation to farmers in Binh Tu commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province. The model aims to innovate the way of production, save water and minimize the bad impacts of climate change.

The CSA helps farmers access to an innovation in rice production known as the system of rice intensification which applies the Integrated Crop Management (ICM) and integrated pest management (IPM).

Director of the Thang Binh district’s Agricultural Technology Center Le Van De said,  in addition to the model of the  CSA, mechanization and advanced techniques have been applied in rice cultivation, which contributes to the environmental protection and saving water in the current climate change.
