(QNO) - On the morning of September 9, 2023, Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort (located in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province) was officially announced to be a hotel saying ‘no’ to plastic waste released into the environment and to single-use plastic items.
It is the first zero-plastic waste hotel in Quang Nam.
According to Tran Thai Do, investor of Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort, the resort is always paying attention to environmental protection for sustainable development.
All the things in the resort are made of/from materials that are environmentally friendly.
Saying “no’ to plastic waste and single-use plastics demonstrates Silk Sense’s social responsibility, partly contributing to creating the green brand for Vietnam’s tourism industry.
Sustainable development is not only related to ecological activities, greenery, and waste reduction, but also understood that it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Besides, Silk Sense always accompanies local communities, supporting them via the Silk Sense Sustainable Development Fund.
The title ‘Zero-plastic hotel’ results from Silk Sense’s efforts to promote sustainable development, contributing to the balance between economic development, environmental protection and preservation of cultural values.
