Despite of bad impacts of Covid-19, the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (OEZ) is still attractive to investors.
Since the beginning of 2020, there have been seven more projects licensed with a registered capital of over VND 5,000 billion, equivalent to USD 223 million.
Two among them are foreign projects, including Dae Ryuk paper tube plant under Dae Ryuk Co. Ltd. (South Korea) with an investment of USD 2 million and a 15-million-dolar automotive wire manufacturer invested by Lisa Draxlmaier Group (Germany).
It is noteworthy that the Thaco’s (Truong Hai Auto Corporation) project on trucks and vans manufacturer is expected to begin construction in 2020 with VND 4,500 billion.
Up to now, there are 177 projects licensed at the Chu Lai OEZ with the total registered capital of nearly VND 112,000 billion. 48 of them are FDI projects with a USD 689 million registered capital.
