(QNO) – The first brood of 66 turtles hatched at Bai Bac brooder in Cham Islands (Hoi An city, Quang Nam province) was released to sea on September 9.

After over 10 days of hatch in Cu Lao Cham following 41 days at Bay Canh isle of Con Dao National Park, the first turtle brood of 66 individuals was successfully hatched from 66 eggs. It is the experts’ and technicians’ unexpected success because the turtle eggs were transported over 1,000 km by sea, air and road from Con Dao National Park to Cham Islands. This success is a great contribution to the biodiversity program, and the sustainability of coral reef ecosystem in the reserve.
