(QNO) - Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh had a field survey at the Safari Nam Hoi An - part of the Vinwonders Nam Hoi An (Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province) on March 19.
Chairman Thanh and representatives of relevant departments visited the current River Safari, and learned about the rescue procedures of the veterinary hospital, the nutrition area, and the safety control in the area of wild animals.
Over the past time, the Vinwonders Nam Hoi An has supported the care and rescue of 1,511 individuals, such as Bengal tigers, walaby kangaroos, pangolins, red-faced monkeys, otters, etc., transferred from authorities in Quang province, and the localities across the country.
Currently, Safari Nam Hoi An owns 53 species, 883 individuals of wild animals, including lions, tigers, Asian elephants, gibbons, ostriches, swans, camels, zebras, antelopes, etc.
Besides, several species are growing and reproducing well, such as the Bengal tiger, ring-tailed lemur, white-cheeked gibbon, oryx, etc.
Chairman Thanh highly appreciated the strict operating procedures, rescue, conservation, and promotion of the value of wild animals at the Safari Nam Hoi An, which attracts a large number of visitors, contributing to raising community awareness of biodiversity conservation.
