(QNO) - One thousand Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings have recently been moved to Ch’Om commune of Tay Giang district from Nam Tra My.
Ch’Om is at a height of nearly 1,500 metre above sea level, considered to have similar climate and soil conditions to Ngoc Linh mountain.
The relocation is aimed at preserving and developing Ngoc Linh ginseng under the direction by the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee.
Reportedly, over 10 years ago, there were 10 thousand Ngoc Linh ginseng plants relocated to Ch’Om and Ga Ry communes of Tay Giang district.
According to experts, their medicinal properties and saponin content are similar to the ginseng planted in the Ngoc Linh mountainous area.
