(QNO) - The ceremony of receiving the UNESCO’s recognition certificate for the art of Bai Choi in Central Vietnam as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity was organized in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam in coordination with the People’s Committees of Quang Nam province and of Hoi An city on May 7.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Le Tri Thanh stated the art of Bai Choi in Central Vietnam recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO showed the international respect for the art of Bai Choi, the great efforts of Vietnam in general and of localities in Central Vietnam in particular in conserving this valuable intangible heritage. Local people are very proud of this recognition and responsible for protect the heritage. On the behalf of local authorities and people, Vice Chairman Thanh thanked for the great contribution of international organizations, Central agencies, artists and residents to the UNESCO’s recognition for the Bai Choi art as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
