Raising nursery education managing ability

(QNO) - On 23rd September, a delegation of the Flemish Office for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance of Belgium (VVOB) visited and worked with Mr Nguyen Chin, Vice chairman of Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee about the cooperation orientation in raising the educational quality in the province.

Since 2014, the VVOB has financed Quang Nam province more than 3.1 billion VND  to carry out two programmes: Nursery and elementary education and Careers guidance. These programmes have helped the Education and Training Office to raise its ability to supervise and evaluate the efficiencies of teachers’ and schools cadres’ improvement. They also helped Quang Nam University train nursery and primary teachers as well as helped to raise the knowledge of the Women’s Association’s grassroots cadres about the ability of caring and educating children of nursery and elementary age.

The first results showed that these programmes have brought about practical and sustainable effects and contributed to improve the quality of the nursery and elementary education in Quang Nam province.

At the meeting, the both sides discussed and agreed the cooperating orientation between Quang Nam province and VVOB from 2017-2021. In this period, the programme will focus on the pre-school education and the main task is to raise the managing ability of cadres and principles of the nursery schools.
