Eco-space
The Quang Nam provincial planning project always focuses on opening the space of economic development in combination with urban space.
Quang Nam has had an effective and comprehensive planning between the regions and areas, especially that of the coastal economic-urban areas and the east-west economic corridor.
Infrastructure has been upgraded and built along with the development of green, smart and ecological urban areas, towards sustainable development.
Regarding Tam Ky, the city is making every effort to complete the criteria of a grade-1 urban centre by 2025 by building green system in the neighbourhoods of rivers, lakes and pools, public spaces. It is also necessary to finish the plan of a smart eco-city.
However, there are some negative impacts of open spaces that make everybody think and have proper solution. They include the overloaded traffic infrastructure, lack of social institutions such as housing, schools, hospitals and the severe environmental problems.
Undivided space
The Central coastal urban system has been developed along the coast, consisting of Thua Thien Hue, Chan May, Da Nang, Tam Ky, Chu Lai- Ky Ha, Van Tuong, Quang Ngai and Quy Nhon. Da Nang is the urban nucleus.
In Quang Nam, there are three urban dynamics, connecting between South and North, East and West of the province.
Besides, urban regions of Quang Nam are also planned to link with Da Nang and Quang Ngai so as to gain all advantages of the Central key economic region, to establish the connection with Central Highlands, Myanmar, Laos and Thailand.
The planning of Quang Nam is of high quality, becoming the motive for the development of all region. The urban spaces are unseparated but in mutual development assistance. O
n the border of Quang Nam and Da Nang where the college village Hoa Quy-Dien Ngoc is located, Quang Nam and Da Nang has jointly managed the planning well.
