(QNO) - On the morning of November 7, Quang Nam University held a reception ceremony for 64 students from Sekong and Champasak (Laos) enrolling in a Vietnamese course for the 2024–2025 academic year.
At the ceremony, representatives from Quang Nam province, Quang Nam University, and Sekong and Champasak provinces signed an agreement to transfer 64 Laotian students to Quang Nam University for a Vietnamese language course.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trong Duong, Rector of Quang Nam University, the university features a four-story hostel with 36 completely furnished rooms for Laotian students.
A centre for learning resources within the university may also meet the requirements of students by providing free internet access, a digital library, and reading rooms with hundreds of books and course materials.
Reportedly, in the 2023–2024 academic year, Quang Nam University hosted 164 international students studying Vietnamese and various majors. In September 2024, the university awarded Vietnamese language completion certificates to 74 students.
