(QNO) - Quang Nam has recently promoted its tourism in Mumbai (India) to attract Indian tourists.
The number of Indian tourists to Quang Nam ranks tenth among international ones in the first half of 2023.
The event was held in Mumbai city from 12 to 16 September, 2023 by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province.
It was aimed at strengthening communication and promotion activities to introduce tourist destinations, tourism products, and services of Quang Nam tourism to Indian tourism businesses, tour operators, press agencies, and partners.
At the event, the Quang Nam Tourism Association and the Indian Association of Tour Operators signed an agreement for mutual tourist exchange in the coming time.
Quang Nam welcomed about 25 thousand tourist arrivals from India in the first 6 months of 2023.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism has just had a discussion with airlines and travel companies in India, including Air India, Vistara, and IndiGo, about opening direct flights and exploiting tourists to Da Nang in the coming time.
It will also create opportunities for Quang Nam to receive Indian tourists from Da Nang.
In addition, Bliss Beach Hoi An Resort and Welness (Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province) and Innovation - India’s event management company have just signed a cooperation agreement to support Quang Nam tourism promotion via media and movies.
At a meeting with the Indian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam last year, Quang Nam leaders proposed to organise the annual Vietnam - India cultural exchange festival at My Son Sancatuary - a place with the important participation of India during the restoration and preservation of this heritage..
