(QNO) - Quang Nam with open-minded start-ups is effective and successful in connecting regional and national start-up networks.
The stat-up programme in Quang Nam was launched in 2017 and its ecosystem officially came into operation in 2018.
The provincial innovative start-up model was formed under the theme "Quang Nam - open land for innovative start-ups" in 2019.
In 2020, Quang Nam became the coordinator for the start-up network in the Central Coastal region and Central Highlands. The Quang Nam start-up foundation is inspired by and based on local innovative and creative traditions and enterprising spirit.
Quang Nam start-ups community always has their experience shared, encourage and support each other during their start-up journey.
Currently, the Quang Nam start-up ecosystem is developed with 3 provincial programmes and 13 sector-level ones, becoming the leading province of the country in terms of cooperation programmes.
According to Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Science and Technology Enterprise Market Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Quang Nam start-up ecosystem is special and typical with the participation and support of different resources. The province also shows the responsibility for the national TechFest events.
Most of the nation’s leading start-up organisations, experts and advisors have gone to Quang Nam to share their experiences or offer recommendations concerning start-up knowledge and skills through a lot of forums, seminars, trainings and workshops, such as the National Start-up Forum in the 4.0 Revolution, Sustainable Agricultural Start-up, Zero-waste Tourism Start-up, the Start-up Journey of Vietnamese Youth, and annual local innovative start-up festivals and events.
Besides, the Quang Nam start-ups community has received great support from the provincial business community. Reportedly, there are now several start-up support funds founded, including the VND 50 billion fund by VN Da Thanh Group Joint Stock Company and others in Bac Tra My, Duy Xuyen, Dien Ban, Hiep Duc, and Tam Ky.
Chairman of the National Start-up Association Dinh Viet Hoa felt impressed by the start-up model in Quang Nam and intended to invite Quang Nam to develop the start-up system in Vietnam Central and Central Highlands.
