(QNO) - A discussion about cooperative promotion between Quang Nam and Sekong Customs has recently taken place in Sekong province (Laos).
At the discussion, Quang Nam and Sekong Customs talked about their work.
Then they discussed some contents and solutions for the cooperation between the two parties in the time to come.
Finally, a cooperative agreement was signed in the spirit of friendship, solidarity, equality and mutual respect.
It includes regular exchange of information on new policies and regulations relating to import - export procedures, exit and entry, transit, and changes in human resources.
Also according to the agreement, the two parties will strengthen cooperation and support to struggle against smuggling, trade fraud, illegal transportation of goods and drugs across the border; to provide the information on goods and means of transportation on request.
The border-gate customs should facilitate the travelling and transportation of goods through the gate, and at the same time, considering the organisation of cultural and sports exchanges. The discussion will be held in turns every two years.
On this occasion, Quang Nam Customs visited Governor of Sekong province and gave a gift to the family of Mr. Le Viet Muong (from Quang Nam province) - the late Secretary and the first Governor of Sekong province.
