(QNO) - A delegation of senior cadres from Sekong province (Laos) has recently paid a courtesy call on Quang Nam leaders.
At the meeting, Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong and Governor of Sekong province Lechlay Sivilay briefed each other about their own local socio-economic development during the Covid-19 pandemic and the first 6 months of 2022.
Quang Nam and Sekong have always given each other effective cooperation and mutual support in national defence and security in the border area, preventing illegal migration, contributing to the effective prevention and control of Covid-19.
According to Phan Viet Cuong, Quang Nam is preparing for a provincial visit to Sekong in August or September this year.
At that time, two parties will discuss the solution for development promotion in the area of Nam Giang- Dac Ta Ooc international border gate via building a commercial zone there.
The cooperation, said Phan Viet Cuong, will tighten the special friendship between Quang Nam and Sekong.
