(QNO) - At present, Quang Nam province has planned 8 Industrial Zones (IZs) with a total area of 4,331 ha, of which 6 IZs have been established and 3 IZs are under operation including Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc (390 ha), North Chu Lai (604 ha) and Tam Hiep IZ (568 ha). The average covering percentage reached 60%.
The IZs attracted 92 domestic projects with the registered investing capital of 15,300 billion VND and 41 FDI projects with 545 million USD. 104 projects are under operation and attract 36,8000 labours. The industrial production value reached 843 million USD and export turnover reached 515 million USD in 2014.
According to the plan for IZs development of Quang Nam province to 2020 which has recently approved by Prime Minister, the total area of Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc IZ will decrease from 418 ha to 390 ha; an increase from 200 ha to 211 ha will be adjusted for the Dong Que Son IZ. The 108 ha Phu Xuan IZ will be added to the national IZ development plan …The Ha Lam-Cho Duoc, Tay An, Dai Tan and Tien Tho industrial parks are under examination of the central government to transfer to be the IZs.
The Prime Minister asks Quang Nam authority to carry out strictly the approved plan, build the industrial zones in stage by stage, speed up the process of building infra-structure of the IZs such as houses for workers and social welfare constructions to ensure the labors’ living and working conditions…
