Quang Nam Provincial leader receives Indian Ambassador to Vietnam

(QNO) - Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu received Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Preeti Saran on October 5th.

Ms Preeti Saran said Indian experts will come to research and restore My Son Santuary, which has similarities to many relics, temples in India. Besides, a seminar with the participation of Indian and Vietnamese experts will be held for cultural exchange between two nations.  Indian film producers are encouraged by Indian Embassy in Vietnam to make film about My Son Sanctuary in order to introduce and propagate this relic to the Indian. In addition, there are also some scholarships to Quang Nam experts studying in India.

Provincial Chairman Dinh Van Thu told Ms Preeti Saran the provincial socio-economic development. He applauded Ms Preeti Saran’s good intention, interest for Quang Nam in general and My Son Sanctuary in particular. Mr Dinh Van Thu also said that the ideas of My Son conservation project is Quang Nam desire because two nations’ cultures, especially Cham culture have many similarities. He hoped this project helps to restore My Son Sanctuary to connect My Son- Hoi An-Da Nang destinations, cultivate professional knowledge of experts who specialize in control and restore this relic.
