(QNO) - In 2015, Quang Nam province’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranked 8th. For the first time, the province was among top 10 provinces and cities nationwide with the best quality of management after 11 years of PCI ranking. According to Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu, PCI improvement is to attract investors into the province.

In the coming years, beside one-stop- shop mechanism, periodical business meeting, business support and information portal, the province will focus on business dialogue via business café programme, groups of branches, sectors, investors to create friendly exchange climate between businesses and authority. Especially, 3 breakthroughs including investment environment improvement, human resource development, building a synchronous infrastructure will be fostered. In addition, 2016 is chosen as the year of provincial administrative reform and investment climate improvement to save businesses’ and investors’ time and expenses in dealing with admistrative procedures.

Quang Nam province is preparing to grasp opportunities from Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement and ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The province will enhance human resource’s quality to supply the demand of labour market, transport connection, infrastructure fulfillment in industrial parks, unbind businesses’ difficulties. Moreover, the province is very proactive about attracting investors especially in prior sectors. Businesses in Quang Nam province are always supported and created favourable conditions for their operation.
