Quang Nam Party Secretary receives newly- accredited Consul General of Japan

At the meeting, Quang Nam Party Secretary Triet wished the Japanese diplomat success during his working term in Da Nang city.

Secretary Triet said since being put into operation in January 1^st, 2022, the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang city has coordinated and supported Quang Nam province in investment cooperation and promotion with Japanese localities, contributing to the development of Quang Nam’s socio-economic issues and foreign relations.

Secretary Triet hoped the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang would continue to promote its role as a bridge and connection between Quang Nam and Japanese localities and businesses for mutual benefits, support visa procedures, and provide Japanese language training for Quang Nam workers to work in Japan.

Triet also wished Consul General of Japan Mori Takero would support Quang Nam in organizing an investment promotion conference in Japan in the third quarter of 2024.

Besides, Mr. Mori Takero as well as staffs of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang would continue to introduce and promote the tourism and cultural image of Quang Nam, the appeal of Hoi An Ancient Town to Japanese visitors, and closely coordinate with Quang Nam to jointly organize the 20th Hoi An - Japan Cultural Exchange program in Hoi An city in August 2024.

Triet hoped the Japanese Government would have more support programs (non-refundable, unofficial aid) on welfare, health, and education for Quang Nam, especially in the local western region via the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang city.

In reply, the newly-accredited Consul General of Japan in Da Nang city, Mori Takero, thanked the leader of Quang Nam province for giving him and his predecessor good feelings.

He committed to doing his best to improve the relationship between Quang Nam and Japan and called for more Japanese businesses' investment and expansion of production in Quang Nam province.
