Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh paid a courtesy call to South Korean delegation led by its Consul General in Da Nang city Ahn Min Sik on June 30.
At the meeting, the two sides talked about the cooperation between Quang Nam and South Korean partners and localities.
It is reported that the Government of South Korea has provided ODA (Official Development Assistance) for Quang Nam through tens of million-dollar projects such as the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Hospital, Quang Nam Central General Hospital, projects on education, administrative databases, smart infrastructural and urban services in Tam Ky city.
In addition, South Korea is also an important investor in Quang Nam with 57 projects and a total investment of nearly 600 million USD.
The cooperation between Quang Nam and the localities of South Korea is being maintained and promoted to better the strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea.
It was the first time South Korean Consul General in Da Nang city Ahn Min Sik had visited Quang Nam. Mr. Thanh hoped the visiting would facilitate the cooperation and strengthen the relationship between Central Vietnam including Quang Nam province and South Korea.
Finally, Chairman Thanh wished South Korea to control the novel coronavirus as soon as possible and to coordinate with Quang Nam to fight this disease.
