(QNO) - On the occasion of the Buddha's birthday (Buddhist Year 2569), Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam, Le Tri Thanh, visited and extended his greetings to various Buddhist establishments in the province.
Reportedly, Chairman Le Tri Thanh visited Binh Nam pagoda in Thang Binh district, Chau Phong pagoda and Pho Tinh pagoda in Dien Ban town, expressing his wishes for a peaceful and happy Buddha's Birthday to the dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in the province.
On behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam Province, Chairman Le Tri Thanh acknowledged the contributions and partnership of the religious leaders and Buddhist followers in social welfare, poverty alleviation, socioeconomic development, and ensuring national defence and security in the local area.
Chairman Le Tri Thanh hoped that the dignitaries and Buddhist followers in the province would continuously support the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus, encourage Buddhist followers to participate in economic development, build a civilised life, support various movements, and patriotic emulation campaigns, contributing to improving the people's livelihoods and strengthening the great unity of the entire nation.
