(QNO) - A high-ranking delegation from Quang Nam province led by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung had a working visit to Laos’ province of Champasak on April 9.
Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee, Governor Vilayvong Butdakham leading Champasak province received the Quang Nam delegation.
On the ocassion of Lao traditional New Year 2023 (Bunpimay Festival), on behalf of the Quang Nam provincial delegation, Permanent Deputy Secretary Le Van Dung sent his best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to the leaders, officials, people of Champasak province.
He also wished the special friendship and solidarity relationship between Quang Nam and Champasak in particular, Vietnam and Laos in general "to be forever green, eternally sustainable".
At the same time, Mr. Dung and Champasak leaders discussed the cooperative relationship between the two provinces, mostly in the fields of economic development, trading exchange, tourism and service, human resource training.
In reply, Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee, Governor Vilayvong Butdakham expressed his pleasure to welcome the Quang Nam delegation.
He said the visit has a very special meaning when Lao people are preparing to welcome the traditional New Year 2023. In the past time, the leaders of two provinces paid great attention to promoting socio-economic development and twinning exchanges between localities of the two sides.
He also hoped Quang Nam and Champasak better the comprehensive cooperation on the development of economy, investment, trade and tourism.
